Resilience

Have you ever wondered what separates those who are defeated by struggle from those who are sharpened by it?
What distinguishes the ones broken by pain from those made wiser through it?
The answer is resilience.
Resilience is the deep, unwavering knowledge that no mistake, no failure, no matter how heavy, can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:37–39
Resilience is built on three pillars: perspective, pivot, and purpose.
Perspective allows us to see beyond the moment. Though our circumstances may not change, we learn to view them through the lens of a God who deeply loves and cares for us.
Pivot is the Spirit-empowered strength to adapt when we hit a wall. We find a way to climb it, break through it, or walk around it. We don’t stop moving.
And purpose keeps us going. We believe that nothing is wasted. God has a plan, and every resistance we face is part of the refining.
So we don’t quit. We forge ahead not because it’s easy, but because He is with us.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the power of Your Holy Spirit living in me. Help me walk in Your purpose with resilience. When I feel beat up, misunderstood, or find myself in places I’d rather not be, remind me that I’m not abandoned; I’m being equipped. You are with me. You are for me. And You are working through every trial to prepare me for the work You’ve planned. To You be all the glory. Amen.
